Over the 2 ½ day 2008 CHCA Home Care Summit, delegates:
· Shared new strategies on planning for long term care needs and ensuring a balance of care approach to service provision
· Explored approaches to meeting the needs of seniors through community networks and partnerships, building social networks and integrated approaches to care and service delivery models
· Discussed the needs of a mobile workforce and ways to support staff in the use of information technology
· Searched for innovative ways to develop and sustain individual and organizational leadership and inter-team dynamics and reviewed various approaches to balancing the flexibility and ingenuity required to deliver safe, effective care in the home
